    Summary

    Decision Date: May 28, 1999

    Panel: Toby Vigod

    Keywords: consent order

This was an appeal from a decision of the Deputy Director of Wildlife. Mr. Rodenkirchen appealed on the grounds that the penalty imposed by the director was too harsh in the circumstances and that the portion of the 1999 guiding season that remained available to guide in was too short to make any guiding economically feasible.

The Deputy Director agreed to reducing the penalty slightly in order to give Mr. Rodenkirchen the opportunity to receive a partial benefit from the area from the area during the 1999 guiding season.

The Board, with the consent of Mr. Rodenkirchen and the director, ordered that the director’s decision be changed to reduce the penalty slightly.
