Paul Bruggemann appealed a penalty imposed by the Deputy Director of Wildlife (the “Deputy Director”) on the basis that the Deputy Director erred in his findings of fact, and that the penalty imposed was therefore too harsh. The Deputy Director agreed that he erred in finding that the appellant was convicted of three offences when he was only convicted of one. By consent of the parties, the Board ordered that the decision be changed by deleting the words, “failing to retrieve wildlife and hunting bear by placing bait,” and replacing all occurrences of the date “January 15, 2007” with the date “June 15, 2005.”
