The appellant associations appealed the pesticide use permits issued to the Respondent to apply Vision herbicide to an area near Spiller Creek on Porcher Island, B.C. The appellants maintained that aerial spraying of the herbicide would result in unreasonable adverse effects on man and the environment.
The Board upheld the permits but amended them to remove the provision for aerial spraying. The Board held that ground spraying methods for this site could be done as efficiently and inexpensively as aerial spraying methods.
