The appellant shot two deer out of season and was convicted and fined. The respondent imposed an additional two year suspension beyond the automatic one year suspension. The appellant appealed this decision on the grounds that it was unduly harsh and unreasonable.
The Board upheld the respondent’s decision. It found that the appellant showed a callous disregard to the two deer he shot. The Board found that the respondent properly exercised her discretion in determining the length of the two year suspension which the Board considered lenient on the circumstances of the case.
